Article III, Sec. 3 of the US Constitution: Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort. No Person shall be convicted of Treason unless on the Testimony of two Witnesses to the same overt Act, or on Confession in open Court.

The term aid and comfort refers to any act that manifests a betrayal of allegiance to the United States, such as furnishing enemies with Arms, Troops, Transportation, Shelter, or Classified Information.

My heart goes out to the people of Paris and Beirut, both cities being attacked within one day of each other.  There has been talk of the attacks in France but I have personally seen nothing about the attacks in Beirut on the news.  I had to find out about the attack in Beirut online in a forum which I find sad.

I confess that I am more worried about homegrown, born and raised domestic terrorists than I am of people fleeing a war torn country with violence purported by a dictator of a leader and people funded by American arms and money.  Sadly the attacks in Paris have caused to my understanding, the leaders of France to close their borders for three months and already there are attacks of retaliation against French Muslims.  But it is not just France that has faced problems in the wake of this tragedy.  This attack against nation and country has prompted twenty-seven states within the USA to say they will not allow Syrian refugees into their states.  Well sucks to be those states but they have no legal grounds to deny refugees entry, turn them away, or kick them out like there have been talks of online.  Only the Federal Government may throw refugees out of the country.   On the news a couple days ago, a politician said we should only allow Syrian Christians into the United States, leaving the Syrian Muslims to die, because “it is impossible for Christians to commit terrorist acts.”

What was supposed to be a happy and fun event turned into tragedy.  A concert shot up by people with connections to ISIS or ISIS supporters.  Hundreds of people on house arrest, hundreds dead or injured in the attack in Paris, a ruined building, an international manhunt that spans the world for the eighth terrorist.  It is a distressing state of the world we live in today.

There are some within the United States who wish that we close our borders down and withdraw our troops from overseas.  Up until the 1950s, the United State Government executed everyone who was found convicted of treason or supporting terrorists.  Personally I believe the American Government, the American People. need to pressure the Government about going back to executing anyone convicted of supporting, aiding or joining ISIS and other terror groups in the world.  We also need to strip these people of their American citizenship as well and the government needs to issue a ‘kill on sight’ order for these supporters, abettors, traitors to the American way of life and the country.  Some people may think to kill traitors to the nation is ‘cruel and unusual punishment’.  I believe that executing those who commit, aid or plot to commit attacks against the government and the nation should be shot down like the dogs they are.

Forty-five people died in the attack in Beirut, Lebanon during a double suicide attack on Thursday November 12, 2015.   Among those dead: 14-year-old Ali Awad who was chopping vegetables when the first bomb struck.  Adel Tombas who would die tackling the second suicide bomber sitting outside a nearby coffee stand.  Khodar Alaa Deen, a registered nurse, who was on his way to work.  Yet their voice was unheard and unrecognized at least on my local news station.   For more information on the double suicide attack in Beirut please go to the following: Beirut, Also the Site of Deadly Attacks, Feels Forgotten.

I realize that the news organizations cannot cover every little news story that happens in the world.  I realize that it would be impossible, as much as I would like there to be equal coverage for everything in the world.  Yet what is it about the attacks in Paris that garnered them attention and yet news about the double suicide attack in Lebanon was unheard of?  Is it because Lebanon is a Muslim Arab speaking country and France is a western ‘civilized’ European country/ally to quite a few countries?   I would hope not but I personally feel ashamed that I had to find out Beirut had been attacked just a day before.  Sadly though it seems that Arab lives do not matter when every life should matter.  Mankind is supposed to be above animals with our intelligence and superiority.  We evolved to be the intelligent species within the world and within our solar system yet we have people who resort to being like animals and causing destruction, bloodshed, terror among the world people.

France has now declared they are ‘at war with Isis’ and have begun launching airstrikes in Syria and on ISIS, helped by US Navy aircraft carriers and ships as early as twenty-four hours after the attacks on Paris.  As the United States of America is an ally with France, does this mean that we will be sending ground troops into Syria, though I think President Obama said now is not  the time to send ground troops into that war devastated country.  As one of their allies, I believe we are supposed to support France.  I am not sure how we will do this as we already cannot afford the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan but that is up to the American Government to deal with and figure out.  We are a world at war and even if we get rid of ISIS and Al Qaeda, there will be other organizations who rise up and commit terror against the innocent populace.  I fear the only way we will be rid of terrorism is if the human race were to die out.
